José Pereira is a seasoned diver and risky barnacle fisherman, as well as an expert angler and supplier to Asturian individuals and hospitality establishments.
Asserting its privileged position of access to the best marine products, it opened its design restaurant-store.
The large blackboards that cover its walls detail the prices of the day's seafood, which is served freshly boiled or fried, if not stewed.
An exultant genre that fills its showcases; shrimps, barnacles, spider crabs, lobsters, bugresses, oysters, scallops... and of course, barnacles. Seafood ready to taste at the bar, in your indoor dining room or to take home live or freshly cooked.
As a complement, battered squid or fried pixin (monkfish) tacos arrive exhaling aromas of iodine like all the house products.
They also don't forget the fish (sea bream, turbot, sea bass, sole and kingfish from the open sea), prepared with basic recipes.
To facilitate enjoyment, champagne and various white wines are offered by the glass. And to encourage its clientele, daily promotions are undertaken.

The Cantabrian Sea, being so rough and having a rocky bottom, together with its low temperatures, gives fish and seafood an excellent and unmistakable flavor.
In the waters of our North Seas, we find a wide variety of fish and seafood that we choose with dedication one by one, to offer the maximum guarantee of quality and freshness.
From the sought-after oysters and barnacles, lobsters and spider crabs, lobsters, razor clams or oricios, to fish such as monkfish, hake from the skewer... and a long etcetera.
All of this in simple preparations or in sophisticated haute cuisine recipes.

At the entrance there is a store with shiny glass counters and cetaceans opened by fish eyes that display, latent of life and controlled for purity, barnacles, oysters, shrimps, scallops, scallops, clams, bugresses, andaricas, ñoclas, santiaguinos, lobsters and what the season and the Cantabrian Sea provide on a daily basis, all with its origin, its price and its precise scales to turn our home kitchen into a branch of the Ritz.
Next door there is a tasting and tapas area where you can have, for example, a glass of Moet Chandom and some oysters.
Finally, the formal dining room, with two centuries-old mural photos of the market and the Gijón pier, and a white clean lines, offers us, certified Asturgalaica origins of the fine knife clam, flower oyster, wave barnacle and a selection of Cantabrian fish.
